What happens to the details you send us.
This site collects nothing except what you type into the enquiry form. Here is what we do with it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who is responsible for your data.
MZP Asia is the data controller for anything you send through this website, and we are based in Thailand. Write to info@mzpasia.com about anything on this page, including if you want our registered company details.
What we collect, and what we do not.
The enquiry form is the only place this site collects anything about you. It asks for:
- Your name
- Your company or production, if you give one
- Your email address
- Your phone number, which is optional
- What you are shooting, where, and your dates
- How many people are travelling
- The services and the kit you need
- Anything else you choose to write in the notes
Nothing else is collected. This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Nothing you do here is measured or profiled, which is also why you are not being asked to accept anything.
Why we hold it, and on what basis.
We use your details for one thing: to answer your enquiry and, if it goes further, to quote and plan the work. We do not use them for marketing and we do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.
Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) we rely on the necessity of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry. If you are contacting us from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the equivalent bases under the UK GDPR and the GDPR apply.
Where it goes.
This website does not store your message. There is no database behind it and nothing is written to the server. What happens instead is short:
- The form hands your answers to a small script on our own hosting, which turns them into an email and sends it.
- That email lands in our enquiries inbox, which runs on Google Workspace. Google keeps mail on servers outside Thailand, including in the United States, so your enquiry leaves the country at that point.
Nobody outside MZP Asia reads your enquiry as a matter of course. If the job goes ahead, parts of your brief may need to reach the crew, suppliers or local partners doing the work, which is how a shoot gets organised at all. Where that means sending your details to another country, we will tell you before it happens.
How long we keep it.
If your enquiry does not turn into work, we delete it after 24 months. If it does, we keep what relates to the job for as long as Thai tax and accounting law requires business records to be kept, and delete it after that. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, and the section below says how.
Your rights over your data.
Under the PDPA you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete it, or stop using it, where the law allows
- Object to us using it, or ask us to restrict how we use it
- Send it to you or another controller in a portable form
- Withdraw consent, where consent is what we relied on
Ask by emailing info@mzpasia.com. There is no charge, and we will come back to you within the period the law allows.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee in Thailand. If you are in the UK or the EEA, you can complain to your own supervisory authority instead.
How we keep it safe.
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Our mail runs on Google Workspace, which commits to the safeguards required for handling personal data across borders. Email is still not an encrypted store, so please do not put anything genuinely sensitive into the form: send it another way and we will tell you how.
