Shows we produced.
On every show below, MZP was the appointed local production house. We handled the film permits and local permissions, the locations, the crew and the logistics, along with everything else the shoot needed to keep moving. From the first recce to the final wrap, the local side was ours.

Before you book
What producers ask first.
How do film permits work in Thailand, and how long do they take?
We'll send you all the documents you need to complete. Once we have your shooting schedule and locked location list, we can start the application. The film permit process can take up to 3 weeks. Once the film permit is approved, we can then apply for any national park permits, which usually take around 2 weeks. So a little planning goes a long way. The earlier we start, the better.
Which countries do you cover across Southeast Asia?
Thailand is where most of our work happens and where we are strongest. Across the wider region we run shoots through crews and partners we have used before. Tell us where the script goes and we will say plainly which parts we cover ourselves and where we bring a partner in.
How does the rebate incentive work, and do you handle the application?
Yes, we handle the rebate application from start to finish. That includes checking your eligibility, preparing the paperwork, managing the local accounting, handling the audit process and following everything through after the production wraps. The rebate rate and minimum qualifying spend are set by the film board. We'll walk you through the requirements and make sure you have all the information you need before you start spending.
What crew can you source locally, and what should a production bring?
We can source local crew across all the main departments. Many international productions bring their heads of department and build the rest of the crew locally with us. If you prefer to bring more of your own team, that works too.We simply build the production around the team you bring, the crew we source locally and what the shoot actually needs.
How much notice do you need before a shoot?
Around 3 months is a good starting point. This gives us enough time to secure the main permits and lock in the key locations.Up to 5 months is ideal. Around 2 months can be possible, depending on the project, locations and permits involved. In other words: the more time you give us, the more options we have.
Can we shoot all year round in Thailand?
Yes. Thailand is shootable for most of the year, but the weather does need a little planning. The South-West and North-East monsoons affect different parts of the country at different times, so choosing the right region can make a big difference. That's where we come in. Tell us what you want to shoot, and we'll help you work out where and when to go for the best chance of good conditions.
